The fish counters are particularly charming, carved in high relief with scales and fins, while many of the round and rectangular examples feature doves or birds enclosed within decorative reserves surrounded by intricate scrolling foliage.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach counter displays the beautiful natural iridescence of genuine mother-of-pearl, with subtle tones of silver, cream, pink and green visible across the surfaces.
