Ready for Framing. A wide collection of shapes inluding rectangular, circular, oval, scalloped, and novelty fish forms; finely engraved with floral patterns, geometric motifs, and village scenes. The largest piece just over 5.5cm in width. Each piece is pure mother of pearl, hand-carved from pearl shells fished in the 18th and 19th century.

The counters were once used in card games such as whist and quadrille, serving as score markers in fashionable drawing rooms.

Each piece is unique. They have natural age-related patina. A few pieces with natural materal spots wtihin the pearl nacre. The set is discounted accordingly.
