Mother-of-Pearl Handle: Smooth, hand-carved mother-of-pearl handle with a beautiful iridescent sheen. Likely carved from Australian pearl shell, a highly prized material exported to England during the 1800s or early 1900s.

Shield Cartouche: A plain sterling silver cartouche is inlaid on one side of the handle, traditionally left blank for monogram engraving — a hallmark of personal luxury pieces from the period.
