The hallmarks are well defined. It sides are genuine sterling silver; not silver-plate or stainless steel which are obviously much cheaper. The cutting ends are steel as silver is too soft for this purpose.

The action is nice. In excellent working condition. The usual age related scratches and patina of a vintage piece.
