Gold-Plate Dunhill Lift-Arm Lighter

A fine vintage Dunhill gold-plated lift-arm lighter in very good working condition. Elegant and understated, these iconic lighters remain among Dunhill's most recognisable twentieth-century designs and continue to be highly sought after by collectors.

The distinctive lift-arm mechanism serves as both the ignition and snuffer. Raising the arm allows the lighter to be lit, while lowering it extinguishes the flame. This ingenious design gave rise to the name "lift-arm" lighter and became one of Dunhill's signature innovations.

This lighter is fitted with a new flint and is in working order. Replacement flints are readily available from tobacconists. For shipping, the fuel will be drained in accordance with carrier requirements. To refill, simply unscrew the cap on the base and add lighter fuel. The flame height can be adjusted using the small control wheel on the underside.

The lighter measures 5 cm high × 3 cm wide.

It is presented in very fine vintage condition with only light signs of age consistent with careful use. Please refer to the photographs, which form an important part of the description.
