A classic antique that sits nicely on any fireplace mantle or coffee table. The ribbed edges provide the strike zone for strike-anywhere matches.

The silver hallnmarks are light but the mark for sterling can be made out and confirms it is silver, not silver-plate or stainless steel which are obviously significantly less valuable.

The standard sized match globe at 5.5cm x 4.5cm.

The glass ribs are in good condition. There are some light stains inside some of the grooves as is shown in the images. There are minor scratches and nicks on the silver rim and staining between the rim and glass, also as can be seen in the pictures. Overall standard antique condition for a peice with a century of stories.
