Description
A handsome Elgin pocket watch with a striking black dial, bold Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds dial.
The watch is fitted with a 7-jewel Elgin movement and is in good working order. It is a traditional stem-wind, stem-setwatch: the crown is turned to wind the movement and pulled out to set the hands.
The substantial nickel-coloured case complements the dark dial particularly well, giving the watch a strong early twentieth-century appearance. The rear cover opens to reveal the movement.
A separate metal stand is included, allowing the pocket watch to be displayed upright as a distinctive desk or bedside clock.
Dimensions: approximately 60 mm case diameter × 21 mm deep.
Overall height excluding the stand: approximately 91 mm.
