Discovered in Australia, a delightful and unusual pair of hand-painted vintage scallop shell souvenirs depicting two iconic scenes from the historic London village of Barnes: Old Barnes Pond and The Terrace. Each shell is individually signed H. Avery and dated 1952, capturing the charm of post-war England in a naïve, impressionistic style.

Beautifully painted directly onto natural scallop shells and finished with a protective varnish, these decorative pieces were created as unique souvenirs rather than mass-produced transfers, making them both attractive and highly collectible.
