The condition is superb for case made 65 years ago.
The lid features a marlin or sword fish which will make the case of particular interest to a fishing lover.

The hallmarks confirm it is genuine sterling silver; not silver-plate or stainless steel which are obviously significantly cheaper.

The internal wooden cavity is also in excellent condition. The centre divider is removable or can be simply fitted in one of the other two divider grooves.

The hinges are in-line and solid and the lid closes flush. Some minor dents consistent with a piece of the age.

Dimensions: 18.5 x 9 x 3.7cm. Fitted with a modern 50mm hygrometer guage.
