Description

A fine English antique pocket multi-tool, dating to the early 20th century, with a beautifully carved mother-of-pearl handle and multiple folding steel implements.

The finely figured mother-of-pearl is the standout feature, displaying an attractive natural iridescence. Compact multi-tools of this type were designed to combine several useful personal implements in a form that could be conveniently carried in a pocket or attached to a set of keys.

The various folding implements are steel. The maker and exact date are unknown, although the style and construction are consistent with English manufacture of the early 20th century.

The folding action remains firm, with the blade sitting straight when open and flush when closed. The steel implements and mother-of-pearl are in very good condition.
